Here are just some of the comments from recent clients after just one visit! None of these results required spike collars, shocking devices or electronics, special muzzles, leashes, pockets full of treats or clickers. The key will always be evidence-based science and knowledge.
If you prefer gossip, innuedo, wishful thinking, make-believe and false hopes provided by radio, newspaper, the media, internet, blogs, forums, and politically correct community discussions, then this science site may not be for you. Information that is not based on true scientific evidence is highly destructive to the well-being of animals and ultimately cruel. This site is for those who are passionate about the pursuit of intellectual and academic excellence and the development of emotional maturity so that we may be altruistic to both our fellow humans and animals. This soundness of mind and spirit is what binds my most successful clients together.

Are you thoroughly confused by conflicting advice from behavioral experts? If so, then you've come to right source. My name is Jeffrey J. Loy and I am the founder and director of the Center for Animal Behavioral Research. Not only will our programs teach you the advantages and disadvantages of any procedure presently available but we will also teach you how to avoid 144 pitfalls or mistakes.
Remember, we need your dog, young or old, shy or aggressive, regardless of breed, to behave flawlessly off-leash at your side, even if it's being attacked by another dog. Sound impossible? I have done this with every Seeing Eye dog I ever trained and routinely with every client who has gone through my program. If you are looking to give the ultimate gift to your dog, that is, a life of off-leash reliability, no matter what the distraction, then this is the program for you! Since the early 1970's, I have sought out only the most difficult cases, those either rejected or deemed impossible by the acknowledged experts. For decades our policy has been to turn away people who had not been through at least three behavioral programs. But I will gladly help anyone regardless of circumstances who feel they have no alternative but to euthanize their pet. The reasons are three-fold: (1) in order to expand the body of scientific knowledge, it is necessary to work with only the most difficult cases, (2) at no time, do we ever compete with dog trainers and behaviorists and (3) most importantly, it takes a highly-motivated pet owner to solve deeply entrenched behavioral problems. Our purpose is to support professionals in the field of behavior with critically analyzed knowledge. We routinely send simple cases to universities, trainers and behaviorists and in exchange take the hardest cases from them. By choosing only the most difficult cases, we have distilled a huge body of knowledge, reducing it to only those procedures that work every time without exception. You can expect a joyous dog that never needs a leash again, regardless of distraction. Based in Chester, New Jersey, the Center for Animal Behavioral Research is a science and evidence-based endeavor dedicated to basic and applied research of wild, indigenous species and domesticated animals. We support our research by providing lectures and special programs to enable clients to solve entrenched behavioral problems, especially those of aggression in dogs. The National Puppy Preparatory Program™ has been developed based on our research and extensive experience with the behavioral problems of dogs. The Center for Animal Behavioral Research is the world's leading authority on the rehabilitation of biting dogs and fighting dogs. From this wealth of experience and comparative studies has come the only animal behavioral program that absolutely prevents all behavioral problems in canines, regardless of breed. Although we will work with any species of animal, dogs, cats, horses and birds are our specialties. Biting cats and fighting cats, biting horses and fighting horses, biting birds and fighting birds have all been rehabilitated by the Center for Animal Behavioral Research. |
Lisa H. and Brian M. March 31, 2009
Because of the family's extremely limited finances, I was given but a single visit to cure this dog of her extremely aggressive behavior towards family and friends. Otherwise there would no choice but to put this dog to death. This could have turned into the typical tragic story that I hear almost daily. But this family was smart. They did not unwittingly turn to the ASPCA, Humane Society, rescue leagues or other self-anointed pundits backed by pseudoscience. Otherwise, the dog would have undoubtedly been put to death. Arden was a 12-year-old Akita mix rescued from a park in Brooklyn. She was injured and in emaciated condition. Arden was their first family dog. Lisa did not even like dogs, having been bitten several times in past. In spite of having been through several private training programs, the last one with a legendary trainer, the family still presented me with a list of fifteen (15) deeply-entrenched dangerous behaviors. The main reason for contacting me was fear for the children's safety. Lisa said: "You helped us with Arden last fall. You came highly recommended by Mike and Amy with their off-leash reliable dogs. I wanted to call you to just tell you that things are going SO BEAUTIFULLY with Arden. She's like a totally different dog. It took a little while of reinforcing everything that you taught on that one and only visit and it is JUST AMAZING! Many people have commented on what a great change they see in our dog. There is absolutely no aggression any more. The children [twin four-year old girls] can literally walk in front of Arden's food bowl and touch it and the dog while she's eating. Arden just sits there and waits for them to leave before resuming her meal. IT'S INCREDIBLE! The children can literally jump all over Arden, hug and kiss her and even step on her and she never bites; she simply moves off. She's actually come to like the children and for the first time is licking their faces. And to think that our vet, after sending us to a high-priced PhD drug therapist, said that there was no hope and the dog should be put to sleep. So I just wanted to thank you and let you know that things are going REALLY well and we're all REALLY, REALLY happy. Arden is so much happier and much more relaxed. It's good news for all of us. Hope you're well."

I can't believe we are sitting here with Rocket, not muzzled, not chained, not leashed and he's behaving just fine in front of everyone. It's a miracle. Rocket had previously been through 6 different programs including drug therapy, none of which worked. The two sons, Greg and Rob, exclaimed: "Rocket always drags us down the street and this is the first time he was able to walk off-leash... We thought we were going to die!" And now for something completely different...How about a cat problem...Here's what Patty had to say about the program in regard to her 3 fighting cats "With Jeff's science program, I accomplished more in MOMENTS than I had in 6 months of intense work with a nationally-renowned Harvard PhD of hocus-pocus and drug therapy that made my cats sick. Astounding!" Christy P. with her two Shih-Tzus, Louis the XIII and Nicholina, was referred to me by The Dog Whisperer. The dogs were both biters, with Louis being a particular menace. Once Louis had bitten both Christy and her boutique clients in the face, she knew it was time to act. "I have never, ever seen my dogs be so calm and quiet in just a few seconds, at home and in my store...Amazing! He [Jeff] is amazing! He's the best I've ever seen! He knows this work like no one else!" Kay I think about the last time I saw someone walking his dog on a leash. The dog was pulling the owner in every direction, tripping him with the leash, in a frantic search for who knows what. When I watch your videos and see how calm, soothing, and almost hypnotic the dogs are, I tell myself "Give me the calm Animal Behavioral Research dog anyday!" |

Kathleen E. 5/3/07 Absolutely fascinating--very informative--workable--makes sense--saw immediate results--I was so impressed and relieved. Again, no shocking devices, spike collars or food treats. photo© Jeff Loy
Robin M. 3/31/07 Her 2 dogs were fence-jumping, hard-pulling runaways who would lunge and pursue every vehicle, bicycler, jogger, and dog that passed by. "Jeff provides a no-nonsense approach to solving your pet's bad behavior problems. Watching the dogs immediately respond to his technique was nothing short of amazing." photo© Jeff Loy

Cathy and Glenn, owners of Bella and Samson "Fantastic"..."Compelling"..."Mentally stimulating"..."Convincing"..."Results in seconds." Barbara H. about her dog Kira 9/30/08 Barbara had been "handcuffed" because her dog was physically abusing her and grabbing her grandchildren by the boots and swinging them around. She said "This program is freeing! In one visit we made more improvements than the Monks had made with their own dog since birth." Emily and Jeffrey E. lived in the house of "doggish hell" with their three dogs who would have terrible fights with each other and who were aggressive with other dogs. At the end of our emergency one visit "crash course" here is what Emily and Jeffrey had to say about the program: We just want peace in our home. When we come home, we want to know that our home is in order and that there are no injuries, fights or carnage and that our dogs are happy. In minutes it worked! We have peace at last. Michelle with her difficult dog, Gracie, had just about given up all hope. Having just experienced her dog bonding with her off-leash, Michelle said. "This is insane! These results are insane! It's as if Jeff slipped my dog a behavioral Valium...Instant results in seconds...Remarkable...Unbelievable!" |
Paulette R. July 2008 A report 5 days after our first appointment with her dog Louis who had bitten more than 7 people, some severely, and had gone after every dog on site. "Good news! I took Louis to the vet yesterday. For the first time he was wonderful! He lay down automatically right at my side without having to be told. He ignored a big Rottweiler, a Doberman and a big German Shepherd and two other dogs in a very small crowded waiting room. He was beautiful and acted beautifully and I had my cat with me also. A woman said to me, 'What a well-behaved dog you have!' I almost fell off of my seat, especially considering he has been aggressive with every dog he sees." photo© Jeff Loy
"We walked for 45 minutes in my complex, essentially off-leash, all three of us. Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! and so proud. I felt so empowered and so good about my dogs. It was amazing! People actually stopped and said 'You're walking your big dogs together. That has never happened.' I am so thankful and so impressed. I am so happy!" photo© Jeff Loy
Kate B. 10/17/07 In spite of having tried 3 training programs, my 2 big dogs were still attacking every dog on site and dragging me down on my knees. But Jeff's program is great! I can't believe it! Wow! After walking the dogs off-leash together past distractions without the need of shocking devices, spike collars or any other equipment, I'm thrilled. Knowledge is the key! photo© Jeff Loy Kate's husband Vic J. said the following a few days later: Because of what Kate learned I can walk the dogs effortlessly together. photo© Jeff Loy
Steve and Rachel W. 10/13/07 Whose 3 dogs were biting the family, destroying the home, aloof, non-affectionate and barking excessively. Wow! Miraculous! Vicki L. I just want to let you know, Jeff, after just the first visit, I took my dog Rhea for a 20-minute walk around the block and never had to use the leash once. photo© Jeff Loy
Susan and Nate with their dog Henry said this about the program: "Succinct!" A Christmas Eve gift from Paul H. and his dog Nutmeg living in Long Island City. Nutmeg is a dog off of the show circuit who was so introverted that she was afraid of every sight, sound and smell and who now can walk off-leash with Paul to and from work everyday. "I just wanted to call you on Christmas Eve to thank you for the work we did at the beginning of this year, that is, the gift of giving me a dog that can learn to be a happy dog. This is a gift I could not have given to myself. We have come many, many miles from where she was and I have you to thank for that. I just wanted you to know, Jeffrey, I realize you get many calls like this, but you deserve many, many, many, many more than you get. All the best to you!" |
